Being a parent is phenomesome, but it does have drawbacks. In my humble opinion, chief among these is the fact that a parent of small children no longer gets to decide when they get to use the bathroom. A parent’s body decides when it wants to go, but not when it gets to.
Which made me think, maybe this is why kids get so upset on road trips. On road trips, they have to live like we do – renal relief completely dependent on someone else’s largess. No wonder they are grumpy, we (the road tripping parents, not MTV) are making them grow up too fast.
